Beating Prostate Cancer – Part 4

The greatest enemy of prostate cancer diagnosis is inaction.  This may be in the form of denial or it may be on the doctor’s considered advice of, “Wait and See what happens”.

Diagnososis is a wakeup call on your mortality.  It’s your life we are talking about.  Whether treatment is recommended or not, you owe it to yourself – and your family – to do whatever is required to give yourself the best chance of survival.

We are told a positive mental attitude is essential.  However, no matter how positive one might be, it means nothing unless you take positive action in some form.  There is no bigger fight than the fight to stay alive.

Because I was pro-active in evaluating my life to this point and questioning my belief system, I was often accused of being negative and morbid.  I was simply facing the fact of my mortality.  Besides, when you are told you have a disease that is terminal, you are allowed to feel morbid.  Looking back, I am glad that I was given the chance to get my head around all these things resulting in my acceptance of the fact that I may die in the forseeable future.

Like any other cancer sufferer, I have been through the full range of emotions through to despair.  Just read some of the stuff I have written along the journey.

Remission is not simply a matter of finding an alternate therapy (e.g. lactoferrin).  It isn’t that simple.  It is necessary to learn as much as you can about the devil within.  For example, I learned that cancers are anaerobic (require an oxygen free environment to grow).  This led me to regularly drinking pure lemon juice with water to oxygenate the blood.  The urinary tract medication Ural is also helpful in this area.  Where possible, I chose to eat alkaline foods.

I also learned to plan for the day the hormone therapy no longer works and one is sent off to the Oncologist.  I consider chemotherapy and radiation as treatments of last resort as they damage good tissue and organs whilst attacking a tumor.  As a result, I have investigated other options and have settled on DCA (Dichloroacetic Acid and Dichloroacetate) as a radical treatment before accepting the oncologists services because DCA offers the promise of destroying all tumors within six weeks.

Another option exists in Chinese medicine.  After hearing my story, a neighbor with prostate cancer has turned his life around and become pro-active in the management of his cancer.  He visited a local Chinese medicine practitioner who advises that Chinese medicine has an absolute cure for Prostate Cancer – no matter how far advanced.  It is reported that the Australian Government has banned the import of the remedy – probably due to drug company lobbying – but that if one is prepared to take the trip to China, they can be cured.  Kevin is now embarking on a course of Chinese herbal medicine to get his blood in order, to overcome the perpetual feeling of cold associated with the disease and to overcome his tiredness.  These are all by-products of the hormone implant that he is also using.  The Chinese methodology is to get the rest of the body operating properly so that he has a chance of beating the cancer.

Western medicine is only concerned with the PSA reading and shrinking the tumor – they offer nothing to strengthen the rest of the body.  They could learn a lot from alternate therapies … if only they would open their minds to alternatives.

  • Petrol should be cheaper
    November 11, 2009 | 10:08 pm

The Australian dollar is now at 93 US cents and oil is about $US78 a barrel.  At the current price of $A1.20 litre for petrol we are paying at least 25% too much.  What’s going on?

  • Taking a week off in hospital
    September 6, 2009 | 8:33 pm

Tomorrow, I am to be booked into the Benalla Hospital for about a week but you won’t notice a difference because this web site is all but automated.

I have been on morphine since my prostate cancer was diagnosed back in April 2008.  As time goes by, the body becomes immune and the dosage has to be increased.  The current dose is 100 mg both morning and evenings with liquid shots as required to manage the pain breakthrough.

The objective is to infuse some other pain killer through a tube into the stomach whilst my body adjusts to going without the ‘Hillbilly Heroin”.  I have been told that it is not a comfortable time and that the side effects are a build-up of fluids and an increase in appetite.  I am genuinely not looking forward to the process.

  • Too much sex in Wodonga
    August 14, 2009 | 9:21 am

Well, I have followed the Wodonga twitters all week and as the can’t get ttheir tweets above the navel, I have duly removed that wicked town from the Twitter search and added Yarrawonga in its place.

I’m sure those looking for sex tweets already know how to find them.

  • Sex in Wodonga
    August 9, 2009 | 3:49 pm

On the blog pages, I have a column titled, What the twits are discussing generated from a Twitter search of the town names in the border area.

Unfortunately, I will probably have to remove Wodonga from the search as the column is being overrun by tweet ads for swinging and sex in all its various forms.  It seems the border area is becoming a hotbed for fun times.  Todays listing is made up of 40% sex ads out of Wodonga.  Of the five Wodonga tweets, four are sex ads.

I’ll leave it for a week and, if the ratio doesn’t drop, I will remove Wodonga from the Twitter search list.

You may accuse me of censorship, but my blogs represent my morality and having sex ads automatically inserted into my work does not represent my moral standards.
